“Long way around” art exhibition

July 17, 2019 - July 28, 2019

Free event.

“Long Way Around’ is an exhibition of artwork by ANU School of Art & Design print media and drawing students made in response to visual, sensory, and conceptual elements of Mt Stromlo Observatory. The exhibition includes pieces that engage with the scientific research carried out on site; investigate concepts including light pollution, space junk and meteorites; consider the effect of fire damage on the landscape and architecture; and evoke experiential qualities of sound, light and nature. Through prints, drawings, sculptural, light and sound-based works, it presents a diverse range of approaches to exploring space through art.

Opening hours of exhibition:
10am-6pm (Monday-Friday)
11am-5pm (Saturday and Sunday)
